Most agencies bundle "WordPress maintenance" as one vague line item. Here is what we actually do, on what schedule, so you know what you are paying for.

Plugin and theme updates reviewed and applied. Risky updates go to staging first. Security scan results reviewed. Uptime and performance metrics logged. If something looks off, we investigate immediately, not at the next scheduled check.
We verify a backup is restorable, not just that it exists. We review page-load times, server response, and error logs. You get a plain-language monthly report covering what we updated, what we noticed, and what we recommend.
Full site security audit covering file integrity, user accounts, permissions, exposed surfaces. Review of installed plugins and themes. Anything abandoned, deprecated, or with known vulnerabilities gets flagged. We replace what needs replacing.
If your site goes down, you message us and we triage within 15 minutes during business hours. Small content edits (text changes, image swaps, link updates) are included up to a monthly allowance, which varies by plan. Strategic advice on anything WordPress-related is also included.
You keep admin access to your own site. You can review what we do at any time. If you ever want to cancel and move elsewhere, you take everything with you: code, content, database, backups. We do not use proprietary tools that lock you in.

Care plan questions.

You will need a fix first. Care plans are for sites that are working today and need to stay that way. If your site is currently broken, see our WordPress fix service. Once it is stable, we can roll you onto a care plan.
No. We work with whatever host you are on. If your host is genuinely causing problems (frequent outages, slow performance, security issues), we will tell you and suggest alternatives. Switching is your call.
A small edit is a text change, image swap, link update, menu adjustment, or anything similar. Generally a few minutes to a half hour each. They are tracked monthly and reset at the start of each month (unused time does not roll over). Bigger changes get quoted separately as a fixed-price scope.
You message us. Standard plan: 15-minute response during business hours. Premium plan: priority response including outside business hours. We triage and either fix immediately (if within plan scope) or quote a fixed-price fix.
Yes, any time. No cancellation fees, no notice period, no lock-in contracts. You keep everything (code, backups, access) if you leave.
